General Manager

Definition and Role

At LeafMed, our General Manager serve as the dispensary’s main leader, responsible for all daily operations and performance. The General Manager works under the direction of the Regional Agent and Corporate team to direct the sales, profitability, and success of the dispensary overall. The primary function of the General Manager is to ensure the dispensary’s goals are met or exceeded, and all day to day operations flow smoothly. The General Manager should feel
comfortable being responsible for all team members, serving as a mentor and leader in all capacities. The General Manager should ensure their in their absence, Assistant General Manager(s) are prepared to assume their roles to ensure the dispensary continues to operate seamlessly. General Managers are the leaders teams should feel confident in, trusting in their decision-making and strategy.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Ultimately responsible for the expenses, budgets, deposits, and customer satisfaction of the dispensary overall.
• Responsible for all on-site regulatory compliance, ensuring total compliance with State regulations.
• Leads team culture and is the authority for all hiring decisions, staffing needs, and employment status changes.
• Advises corporate team on all third-party vendors or intercompany relationships for planning, policies and future planning.
• Directs audits, assessments and other dispensary investigations as needed, reporting any results back to corporate.
• Directs and organizes all team meetings, leadership meetings, and arranges meetings with corporate as necessary.
• Directs dispensary goals in line with corporate policy, setting standards for performance.
• Leads team through all challenging situations and events, serving as the final decision-making authority for dispensary operations.
• Plans and strategizes inventories, discounts or promotions with the General Manager.
• The General Manager should feel comfortable engaging in community outreach events, or other on-premises
  functions at the direction of corporate.
• Ensures team members evolve, grow and meet their fullest potential.
• Coordinates with corporate on the rolling-out of promotions, coupons, discounts or other customer incentive to drive sales.
• Implements new strategies and protocol for achieving sales, sets the standard for customer service.
• Serves as the main contact for Corporate in the event of an emergency, recall, or other adverse event.
• Oversees all dispensary projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Associate degree or Bachelors degree preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background record check.
• Must hold a valid form of identification (Driver license, state ID)
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills, business sense, and professionalism to communicate effectively in both
  verbal and written form; ability to uphold a strict level of confidentiality and discretion.
• 3+ years of experience as General Manager in a relevant industry.
• Must be able to recruit, hire, and develop the dispensary team as whole.
• Must be able to manage teams effectively, meet deadlines and mitigate issues before they arise whenever
  possible.

• Must be computer literate, especially in all MS Office applications.
• Must be comfortable with executive level communications and able to effectively present results and communicate challenges in meetings.
• Must be available to respond during an emergency, recall or other adverse dispensary event.
• General cannabis education is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to move through the dispensary during the workday.
• Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure
  the requirements of this position can be fully met.
• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 20 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet with or without mechanical assistance.

Work Schedule

• Flexible hours depending on store needs. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency should arise, or if otherwise needed at the discretion of management.
